Here is a look at the top trending stories in Western New York for your Friday.

– Another decent fall day is on tap today across Western New York. It will be colder than yesterday with a high of only 48, but we will see a warm-up heading into the weekend. We are looking at sunshine and 50s for Saturday and mid-50s for Sunday. There is a chance of rain on Sunday but it is late, so if you are headed to the Bills game, it should remain dry.

– We don’t yet if we will have a White Christmas, but all signs are pointing to a White Thanksgiving across Western New York. We could see possible lake-effect snow starting late next week and then continue through the week of Thanksgiving. Depending on how the weather fronts move, we could see a couple of inches to almost a foot of snow for parts of Western New York. Now is the perfect time to make sure your winter gear is ready to go.

– We made it to Friday and there is a lot going on around Western New York. The Buffalo Xtreme pro basketball team is in action tomorrow in West Seneca at the XGen Sports complex, The Bills are home on Sunday at Highmark Stadium with kickoff set for 4:25, join us for the “We Are Buffalo” tailgate party before the game at Prohibition 20/20 and of course, don't miss FREE Bar Bingo tonight during happy hour at Bloomfield’s Pub in Depew. Happy Hour is from 4-8 pm and Bingo is from 5-7 pm. There will be lots of great prizes including tickets to Brewtopia 2024, movie passes, and a pair of tickets to see Pentatonix at KeyBank Center next Saturday.

– One superstar player will be missing the Bills/Chiefs game on Sunday and it could be a big advantage for the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs placed kicker Harrison Butker on the IR with a knee injury. He has been one of the best kickers in the league since he joined the NFL in 2017. The Chiefs signed rookie kicker Spencer Shrader who has only played in one game this year. Let's hope the winds are extra swirly this Sunday for the game.
