Here Is What’s Happening In Western New York: Tuesday Edition

Here is a look at today's top trending stories in Western New York.

1 – Today will start off dry and then rain showers are expected to move into Western New York later on today. That rain could come around 4 or 5 pm this evening which means tonight's ride home from school and work will be a lot more wet than the ride in. Today’s high will be around 55.

2 – Speaking of rain, it looks like massive lake-effect rain and possible snow are headed our way this weekend across Western New York. Two storm fronts are expected to sweep across the area starting on Thursday and bring heavy lake-effect rain to most of the 716. Temperatures are expected to remain near freezing which means a little wobble could also bring some lake-effect snow. Most of the snow will stay in the Southern Tier and into Central and Eastern New York this weekend.

3– Josh Allen’s touchdown run against the Chiefs has been the talk of the NFL and now Allen is being mentioned as the front-runner to win this year’s NFL MVP. He would become the 5^th Buffalo Bills to win that award. He would join Cookie Gilchrist, Jack Kemp, O.J Simpson, and Thurman Thomas as MVP winners if he were to win.

4 – This week you will have a chance to see a couple of special items in the sky above Western New York. This week the International Space Station is expected to be visible each night as it zooms across the sky while on Thursday, a space company will launch a rocket into space. That rocket launch could also be visible here in Western New York.
