Here Is What’s Happening In Western New York: Tuesday Edition

1 – The snow will continue across Western New York over the next several days. A Lake effect snow warning remains in place for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties today until 7 pm and then there is now a Winter Storm Watch in place for Southern Erie and Wyoming counties starting tomorrow night and going until Friday morning. Several more inches of lake-effect snow is possible along with very gusty winds which could impact travel around the area.

2 – Make sure you get your Mega Millions tickets tonight because the jackpot could be a record-breaking one. Tonight’s jackpot is up to $541 million dollars which would be the largest lottery jackpot ever won in New York. The current record of $476 million dollars was set back in April in 2023. You need to get your Mega Millions tickets by 10 pm tonight for a chance to win.

3 – The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is coming back to Buffalo this week with a brand new show. TSO will be at KeyBank Center tomorrow night and guitarist Joel Hoekstra said the show this week is one that the band has not done in years. 4– Double-check your Powerball tickets this morning. According to the New York State Lottery, another “Big Money” winning ticket was sold in New York based on Monday’s drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball and won the 3^rd place prize of $50,000. No one claimed the grand prize, so the jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is up to $240 million dollars.

5 – Tis the season to help your neighbors in need and now through December 15^th, you can make a donation of a non-perishable food item at several locations across Western New York as part of our Cans for Christmas donation drive.
