If you are looking for the perfect way to kick off the weekend, how about jamming to brand-new music from The Goo Goo Dolls?

The Buffalo-born band released their new song, "Nothing Last Forever," this morning at midnight, and so far, it is receiving rave reviews.

The band was excited to release the new music to their fans.

Both Johnny Reznik and Robby Takac were born in Buffalo and attended high school in the 716. They rose to national and worldwide fame in 1995 when they recorded the song "Iris" for the soundtrack for the movie "City of Angels". Iris was also included on the Goo Goo Dolls' 1998 album Dizzy Up The Girl.

"Iris" would go on to the top of the charts all across the world and become one of the best-selling songs in Ireland.

The Goo Goo Dolls have had an amazing career so far. They have had 12 songs land on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, with three of the songs becoming Top 10 hits.

The Goo Goo Dolls are also headed back to Buffalo. They will be back in town next month when they bring their “SUMMER ANTHEM TOUR 2025” to KeyBank Center on August 9th.

The last time the Goo Goo Dolls played in Buffalo was back in 2022. They were honored that day by Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, who declared that Saturday, September 24th, was "Goo Goo Day" in Erie County.
