St. Brian Clothiers Kick Off “Dress The Teachers” Tomorrow Downtown
There’s a brand new school year just around the corner for public schools across Western New York, making this a very expensive time of year for parents and those supporting kids who need clothes, shoes, backpacks, and supplies.
While there are wonderful organizations that host giveaways to help parents defray the cost of getting their little learners ready for when the first bell rings, don’t forget that teachers need to stock up too!
Thankfully, there’s an organization looking to help teachers look sharp on their first day as well.
The nonprofit organization St. Brian Clothiers is offering free menswear for teachers and school administrators this Thursday, August 29, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. inside the Community Outreach & Engagement Center at Roswell Park, 907 Michigan Avenue. Educators are invited to enjoy an afternoon of “unlimited free shopping for men’s fine clothing such as suits, blazers, dress shirts, shoes, ties, and additional items,” all of which will be provided to men at no cost. This is the second year for this event, aimed at helping educators who often have to pay for classroom supplies out of their own pockets.
“This is one of the most important campaigns that we conduct during the year because teachers are such an important part of the success of our children, and far too often they have to spend out of their own pockets to provide resources for their students,” says DeWitt Lee, St. Brian Clothiers’ founder. “With so much of the focus, rightfully so, on making sure that children are ready to begin school, we feel it is very important for the teachers to be just as supported and serviced so that they can start the year feeling appreciated and dressed in the very best.”
Men who would like to benefit from the generous giveaway—or who have apparel they’d like to donate to the cause—are encouraged to contact Lee at 716-787-2543 or email StBrianClothiers@gmail.com.
