1 The warm-up in Western New York has started. We will see scattered rain showers today but for the most part, it will be dry today with a high near 68. We should be in the 70s tomorrow and on Thursday with a chance to set some new record highs. All that will end on Friday when a cold front moves in late Thursday and we will see temps drop back into the 50s on Friday.

2 – The Buffalo Sabres' 3-game winning streak came to an end yesterday as they fell to the Florida Panthers 5-2 at KeyBank Center. The Sabres got goals from Jason Zucker and Rasmus Dahlin. Up next for the Sabres is another home game this Friday night at KeyBank Center. They will host the New York Islanders.

3 – Over 50,000 have voted so far in Western New York during the 1st three days of early voting. Polls are open this week from Noon to 9 pm and this weekend from 9 am until 5 pm. You can vote at any polling location in your county during early voting. Election officials do warn that you cannot wear anything with a candidate's name within 100 feet of a polling location. If you want to wear your candidate's name on a shirt or hat you will need to cover it up when you get within 100 feet of the polling location.

4 – The New York Lottery announced that there were two top prize winning Take 5 tickets sold in Western New York this month. The first ticket was sold at Consumers Beverages in Hamburg for the October 21st evening drawing. That ticket won $31,696.50. The other ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven store on Abbott Road in Buffalo for the October 25th evening drawing. That ticket won $36,388.50. 5 – This Halloween you can get a special treat before your kids head out to trick-or-treat as we are offering a special “We Are Buffalo” deal this Thursday. 6- If you have kids and plan on trick-or-treating this Thursday, just know that most towns have trick-treating hours between 6 pm and 8 pm. Some places like Clarence and Barker will start at 5 pm and some places like Lancaster and Depew will go until 8:30 pm. You might want to trick-or-treat early this year as rain showers are expected to move across Western New York on Halloween starting around 5 pm.
