What’s Trending In Western New York: Wednesday Edition
Here is a look at the top trending headlines in Western New York for Wednesday.
1 – Today will be the last mild day of November as we have a warm front set to bring a high near 62 today, but that will change with a cold front moving in this evening which will drop our temperatures and bring a mix of rain and snow to Western New York tonight and heading into the weekend. That rain is expected to move into the area around 5 or 6 o’clock tonight. Rain is expected for most of Western New York while snow is expected down in the Southern Tier and into the Eastern and Central parts of New York. The National Weather Service is calling for 100% of measurable snow for places like Olean and Jamestown this weekend.
2-The rain and snow this weekend will be good news for New York State. Currently, the state is in a historic drought, and there is a drought watch in place for all of New York. A watch is the first advisory that can be issued during a drought. No water advisories have been issued for Western New York, but that could change if this weekend’s weather doesn’t bring enough water to the area.
3 – A bet is a bet and one lucky Bills fan has a new jacket from NFL analyst Nate Burleson. Justin who made the bet that the Bills would win on Sunday received the bright red jacket Burleson was wearing during the show on Sunday. The Bills are off this week for their BYE but return to Highmark Stadium on December 1st for Sunday Night Football against the San Fransico 49ers.
