The Buffalo Bills will host the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Highmark Stadium. The Bills are hoping to improve to 6-1 in the 2022 regular season with a win over the Packers in what will be their third prime time game this season.

The Bills are currently a half-game ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs, but do hold a tiebreaker with Kansas City, based on their head-to-head win in week 6.

The number one seed in the AFC right now is the Bills to lose, but as we know, the Chiefs are still a threat and clearly the biggest threat to Buffalo's chances of reaching the Super Bowl in February.

On Thursday, Kansas City made a trade that they hope adds that missing element on offense.

According to numerous reports from NFL reporters, the Chiefs have traded for New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

The Chiefs gave up a 3rd and 6th round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft for Toney.

While the original reports stated the Chiefs gave up two compensatory picks, the 3rd rounder is actually the Chiefs own 3rd rounder this season.

Toney has not played since week 2 because of a hamstring injury. He was a Giants first round pick in 2021 and his time in New York was derailed by injuries.

Even when healthy in the first two weeks, he only caught four passes and seemingly wasn't in the plans for new head coach and former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.

Toney, however, is a perfect fit for a high-passing attack Chiefs offense. His skillset is very similar to former Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and will surely be used in open space as much as possible for that Andy Reid offense.

The Chiefs did not have that elite home run threat with great hands like Hill was, but Toney is a great fit for them. His biggest issue is staying healthy. If he can, this is big news for the Bills and other AFC contenders, considering the team and style off offense he was traded to.

I would have loved him for the Bills in the 2021 NFL Draft and clearly the Chiefs also loved him in that draft, as they traded for him now.

Now we have to wait and see if Bills general manager Brandon Beane counters with a trade or signing of his own; perhaps this also means that Kansas City will not be signing Odell Beckham Jr., and it will be down between the Bills and the Rams...
