1 – You might have to wear a t-shirt and shorts when you head to the polls today, we will have near-record warmth across Western New York. The current record high is 79 degrees in Buffalo and we will get close to that with our expected high today of 77. It will be a bit breezy but otherwise very warm today.

2 – Polls are officially now open for election day today. There were a record amount of people who voted early last week in Western New York with over 200,000 people casting their votes early. If you didn’t have a chance to vote early, polls will be open until 9 pm tonight and you will have to go vote at your assigned polling place today. Also, remember you cannot wear anything with a political message within 100 feet of the polling location.

3 – You can help shelter animals across Western New York. The Law Offices of Williams Mattar are holding a pet supply drive and pet photo contest his month. Ian Russ the outreach coordinator said people can make donations at their offices on Main Street in Williamsville. You can also submit a photo of your pet online at their website for a chance to win a $1000 donation to an animal shelter of your choice.

4 – You will want to make sure you keep your "I Voted" sticker after heading to the polls today. Several businesses are offering deals today for anyone who voted. Dave and Busters at the Galleria are offering special deals today, Uber Eats is offering 25% off when you order after 6 pm tonight, and Grubhub has several deals from Starbucks, Wendy’s, and KFC.

5 –Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away and if you are planning on hosting, there are several farms in Western New York that sell fresh turkeys. 6 – Someone in New York woke up this morning very Happy. The New York State Lottery announced that there was one “Big Money” winning Lottery ticket sold in New York from last night’s Powerball drawing. That ticket matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball plus it had the Powerplay which was 10 times the prize amount, so that ticket won $500,000. Not a bad way to start your Tuesday.
