60th Home Sold for Millions in Amherst
For the 60th time this year, an Erie County house has sold for more than $1 million, crossing a key economic threshold in the area’s residential real estate marketplace.
In the latest deal, recorded Sept. 25 in the Erie County Clerk's office, John Ticco III and his wife, Victoria, bought a three-bedroom house at 35 Knollwood Lane in Amherst, paying $1.15 million, according to the county clerk’s records.
The 3,256-square-foot house, built in 1962, had been owned by Sean O’Neil.
Sitting on a 1.5-acre lot, the house’s amenities include an inground swimming pool.
This year is setting a new record for private home sales in Erie County that have gone for north of $1 million.
