Just a few days after selling his former Amherst home for $1.7 million, prominent local dentist Todd Shatkin has bought another Amherst house.

Shatkin, according to documents filed Sept. 6 in the Erie County Clerk's office, paid $1,025,000 for a four-bedroom house at 45 Alexia Court.

The 4,977-square-foot house, built in 2005, had been owned by Ahmed and Rahmatollah Diane and Shahla Sedigh, according to county clerk records.
Shatkin, on Sept. 3, sold his former house at 136 Harbridge Manor in Marrano/Marc Equity’s Greythorne gated community subdivision for $1.7 million.

The deal is the sixth private residence in Amherst this year to sell for more than $1 million.

Overall, in Erie County, there have been 54 home sales this year that have topped the $1 million sales mark.

Erie County home sales of more than $1 million are considered a key economic benchmark within the residential real estate industry.

Erie County is on pace to sell a new record for $1 million-plus home sales.
